Michael "Michi" Marchner (born October 28, 1966 in Munich ) is a German music cabaret artist , songwriter , comedian and entertainer . Since 1987 he has been a member of the cabaret music group Les Derhosn .

biography

Marchner was born on October 28, 1966 in the Schwabing district of Munich . When he started school he began to take guitar lessons and learned to play live with Shawn Vegvary. Marchner taught himself how to play the piano, among other things . From 1995 to 1998 he completed intensive studies at the private music institute for rock and pop music in Munich.

In 1987 Marchner founded the music cabaret group Les Derhosn together with Martin Lidl , which won the cabaret Kaktus . Together with the cabaret artist and television entertainer Helmut Schleich , they have been appearing in a joint stage project under the title "Helmut Schleich meets Les Derhosn" since 1996. Marchner has also been on stage solo since 2002 and has published four solo programs. There were also appearances in TV cabaret and comedy formats, for example at Ottis Schlachthof . Other musical projects in which Marchner was involved were the West African percussion formation Groupe Sodia and the Klezmer formation Massel-Tov . Due to his success as a music comedian, Toni Bartl became aware of Marchner in 2008 and engaged him for several programs, including a. for the Yellow Hands program . Marchner has been presenting Marchner's weekly review on Kultradio since 2016 .
