Miguel Mykycej
Miguel Mykycej FDP (born October 17, 1934 in Horocholyna ; † May 20, 2017 in Buenos Aires ) was a Ukrainian Greek Catholic clergyman and bishop of Santa María del Patrocinio en Buenos Aires .
Life
Miguel Mykycej joined the Order of the Sons of Divine Providence and the Archbishop of Lviv , Jossyf Ivanovič Slipyj , ordained him a priest on April 21, 1963 .
Pope John Paul II named him auxiliary bishop in Santa María del Patrocinio en Buenos Aires and titular bishop of Nazianzus on June 23, 1990 . The Bishop of Santa María del Patrocinio en Buenos Aires, Andrés Sapelak SDB , donated him episcopal ordination on June 23 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Efraím Basílio Krevey OSBM , Bishop of São João Batista em Curitiba , and Abelardo Francisco Silva , Bishop of Presidencia Roque Sáenz Peña .
On January 20, 1998, John Paul II first appointed him Apostolic Administrator and on April 24, 1999 Bishop of Santa María del Patrocinio en Buenos Aires. He was inducted into office on July 25 of the same year. On April 10, 2010, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related resignation.
