Miguel Paternain CSsR (born November 16, 1894 in Minas , Uruguay , † October 19, 1970 ) was Bishop of Florida .

Life

Miguel Paternain joined the Congregation of the Redemptorists in and put on 1 May 1917, the perpetual profession from. He received on 19 February 1921, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On April 19, 1929, Pope Pius XI appointed him . to the Bishop of Florida. The Apostolic Nuncio in Argentina , Archbishop Filippo Cortesi , donated him episcopal ordination on July 21 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Montevideo , Juan Francisco Aragone , and the Bishop of Salto , Tomás Gregorio Camacho .

On February 27, 1960, Miguel Paternain resigned as Bishop of Florida. Pope John XXIII thereupon appointed him titular bishop of Mades . On September 21 of the same year, John XXIII appointed him. titular Archbishop of Achrida .

Miguel Paternain attended all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council .
