Mihai Alexandru Costea (born May 29, 1988 in Drăgăşani ) is a Romanian football player . He has been playing for Fujairah SC in the United Arab Emirates since the beginning of 2017 .

Career

Costea's career began at CSM Râmnicu Vâlcea near his hometown. At the beginning of the year he moved to FC Universitatea Craiova , which was represented at the time in Divizia B , the second Romanian division. In the first few years he only rarely got a chance and therefore only had a small share in the rise in 2006 . Only in the second half of 2008/09 he was able to fight for a regular place. At the end of the season he and his team only missed qualifying for the Europa League because of the lost direct comparison with Steaua Bucharest .

At the end of the 2010/11 season , Costea had to relegate to Liga II with Universitatea Craiova, so he left the club in the summer of 2011 and moved to record champions Steaua Bucharest. With his new club he won the Romanian championship for the first time in the 2012/13 season . In the 2013/14 season he only played one role and thus had a small share in defending his title. In the 2015/16 season he first played for FC Voluntari before moving to al-Ittihad in the United Arab Emirates in early 2016 . There he was only used three times due to a lack of playing authorization. He has been under contract with Fujairah SC since the beginning of 2017 .
