Mike Bezdicek (born June 28, 1968 in Freiberg ) is a former German handball player . His playing position was on the circle .

Career

In his youth, the very tall Bezdicek played at KJS Leipzig. In 1986 he came to the Bundesliga club TuS Hofweier . After three years he went to the TBV Lemgo . After five seasons he left Lemgo and went to SV Hameln for one season. The following three years in Lemgo were to be the most successful of his career. After winning the European Cup Winners' Cup in 1996, he won the DHB Cup , the championship and the DHB Supercup with East Westphalia in 1997 . In 1998 he left Lemgo and had only brief engagements with various first division clubs. After THW Kiel terminated him without notice in 2001, he returned to Lemgo for a season after three years at GWD Minden .

In a total of 413 Bundesliga games, he scored 774 field goals (including 1 seven-meter goal). For the national team , with which he took part in the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney , Bezdicek played 86 A-internationals, in which he threw 98/1 goals.

From the 2008/09 season Bezdicek coached the current league club TSG Harsewinkel . He played from 2007 to 2009 for the Lower Saxony association league club MTV Obernkirchen. From January 2013 he trained with MTV Rohrsen and also worked for TSG Harsewinkel until the end of the 2012/13 season. After Bezdicek was given leave of absence from MTV Rohrsen in March 2014, he soon took over as a coach from MTV Obernkirchen.

In the 2015/16 season he coached the first women's handball team in Bad Salzuflen (3rd division). In the summer of 2017, he took over the national division HSG Fuhlen / Hessisch Oldendorf.
