Michael Joseph Glennon (* 12. December 1989 in Conroe , Texas ) is an American American football poker players at the position of quarterback . He plays for the Oakland Raiders in the National Football League (NFL).

college

Glennon played college football at North Carolina State University from 2009 to 2012 . He was only starting player in his last two years, but brought a total of 330 passes out of 564 attempts to the man in all four years and came to 7,411 yards and 63 touchdowns . His four-year average in the quarterback rating is 132.3.

NFL

Glennon was selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft as the 73rd player .

Tampa Bay Buccaneers

In his 2013 rookie season , Glennon was used as a starter on Matchday 4 to replace Josh Freeman , as the Buccaneers had lost the first three game days and the offense did not make a good impression on the coaching team. Glennon ended the season and all the remaining 13 games as a starting player and was able to make 247 of 416 passes . He came to 2,608 yards , 19 touchdowns and 9 interceptions with an average quarterback rating of 83.9.

In 2014 , the Buccaneers signed quarterback Josh McCown , who was to replace Glennon as a starter on the first day of the game. Glennon came on 6 missions this season because he had to replace the meanwhile injured McCown. In his second season, he made 117 of 203 passes and had 10 touchdowns and 6 interceptions at 1,417 yards. His average quarterback rating, similar to his first NFL season, was 83.3.

In 2015 and 2016 , Glennon was the backup behind quarterback Jameis Winston, who was signed in the 2015 NFL Draft . Glennon didn't play a single NFL game in the 2015 season and only had to replace the injured Winston twice in 2016.

Chicago Bears

After the expiry of his contract with the Buccaneers Glennon signed on 10 March 2017 a four-year contract with the Chicago Bears with a content of 14.5 million US dollars per season. The Bears made it immediately clear that they had brought Glennon as their new starter on the position of quarterback.

Arizona Cardinals

Mike Glennon signed his new contract with the Arizona Cardinals on March 16, 2018 after an early contract with the Chicago Bears . The contract has a term of two years and gives the quarterback expected total of 8 million US dollars in two games completed Glennon 15 of 21 passes for 174 yards and a touchdown. He was released on March 8, 2019.
