Mike Verschuren (born July 15, 1992 in Eindhoven ) is a Dutch ice hockey player who has been under contract with Hijs Hokij Den Haag in the Belgian-Dutch BeNe League since 2018 .

Career

Clubs

Mike Verschuren began his career as a hockey player in his hometown with the Eindhoven Ijsbrekers , for whom he played in the Eerste divisie , the second highest division in the Netherlands , at the age of 16 . In 2009 he moved to local rivals Eindhoven Kemphanen , for whom he made his debut in the honor division in the 2010/11 season . Since 2015 he has played with the club in the newly founded Belgian-Dutch BeNe League . In 2018 he moved to league rivals Hijs Hokij Den Haag .

International

For the Netherlands, Tummers took part in the games of the U18 World Cup in Division II in 2009 and 2010 and the U20 Junior World Championships in 2011 and 2012, also in Division II.

At the World Cup of Division II in 2016 he made his debut for the men's national team and was promoted to Division I with it. He also represented his colors in qualifying for the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang 2010 .
