Mimi (singer)

MiMi (actually Sarah Müller-Westernhagen , born September 14, 1985 in Great Britain ) is a British pop singer .

Life

Her parents are the actress and photographer Polly Eltes and the singer and actor Marius Müller-Westernhagen ; the parents separated in 1988 when Mimi was three years old. She grew up in Twickenham . She received her first guitar lessons from a friend of her mother's and took singing lessons from an opera singer.

At the age of seven she wrote her own songs and at the age of 15 she appeared as a singer in a folk club for the first time. In 2004 she founded her glam punk band Battlekat . She went on tour with the son of Volker Schlag (X Factor), Billy Ray Schlag, among others. She worked as a model, for example for Otto Versand . A picture series with Mimi appeared in the German Playboy in the May 2009 issue, where she was also featured on the cover.

In 2011 she released her debut album Road to Last Night , the songs of which she also wrote and the cover of which she illustrated. In 2011 Mimi supported Till Brönner in the jury house in Scotland as part of X Factor .

With former band members of the group Battlekat Mimi put together her new backing band The Mad Noise Factory .
