Mimoun Mahi (born March 3, 1994 in The Hague ) is a Moroccan - Dutch football player . He has been playing for FC Zurich since 2019 .

Career

Club career

Mimoun Mahi, the son of Moroccan parents, played football for Quick Den Haag and the U-19s of Sparta Rotterdam in his youth before being called up to the first team in 2012. In the following two years he played a total of 32 games for Sparta Rotterdam and scored four goals.

In 2014 Mahi moved to FC Groningen for a transfer fee of 400,000 euros , where he received a three-year contract. At the beginning of May 2015, Mahi won the KNVB Cup 2014/15 with Groningen . In the 2016/17 season he scored the most goals for Groningen with 17 league goals and was sixth on the list of goalscorers for the season.

For the 2019/20 season, Mahi moved to FC Zurich on a free transfer . There he signed a three-year contract.

National team

Mimoun Mahi has had various assignments for the Dutch U-18 , U-19 and U-21 national teams .

At the beginning of 2017, Mahi decided to play for the Moroccan national team in the future .
