The Ministerie van Justitie en Veiligheid ( German  Ministry for Justice and Security ), abbreviated JenV , is a ministry of the Netherlands .

Until October 2010 the ministry was called Ministerie van Justitie ; When the Rutte I cabinet took office under Mark Rutte , the area of public security was transferred from the Ministerie van Binnenlandse Zaken en Koninkrijksrelaties (BZK) to the Ministry of Justice. From October 2010 to October 2017 the ministry was called Ministerie van Veiligheid en Justitie .

In the Cabinet Rutte III (acting since October 26, 2017) is Ferdinand Grapperhaus ( CDA ) JENV minister. Sander Dekker ( VVD ) is Minister for Legal Protection at the department. State Secretary is Mark Harbers (VVD).
