Ministry of Guidance and Control of District and District Councils

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Ministry of Guidance and Control of District and County Councils was established on June 4, 1964.

It served as the economic policy control body of the Council of Ministers of the GDR . It should act as a counterbalance to the ministries and institutions, which are primarily guided by economic theory. However, the ministry was dissolved again in November 1971.

The tasks performed by the Ministry for Guidance and Control of District and District Councils to support the guidance and control of local councils by the Council of Ministers were taken over by the “Organization and Inspection” working group under the chairman of the Council of Ministers after the abolition (head of the working group until 1989 : State Secretary Harry Möbis , SED).
