The Ministry of Defense , in Māori Manatū Kaupapa Waonga , is a Ministry and Public Service Department in New Zealand that is responsible for the New Zealand Defense Force and its equipment.

goals and tasks

The Ministry has the task:

  • Advising the government on matters of national defense and defining goals,
  • To purchase equipment and equipment for defense,
  • Cooperate with industry on armaments and equipment for the army,
  • Equipping soldiers with the equipment they need,
  • Define goals for humanitarian operations and equip the army accordingly
  • Develop and update a Defense Capability Plan .
