Minna Alken-Minor , née Minna Minor ( May 9, 1860 in Singhofen , Hessen-Nassau - June 9, 1905 in Schwerin ) was a German opera singer ( alto ).

Life

Alken-Minor, daughter of a postman, was trained for the stage by Professor Koch at the Stuttgart Conservatory. In Chemnitz she took the stage for the first time as "Azucena" in the troubadour , was then engaged in Gdansk and Bremen, and in 1882 was engaged for the court theater in Schwerin . The artist, who was appointed grand ducal chamber singer for her services , was also highly valued as a concert and church singer .
