Minxiong ( Chinese  民 雄 鄉 , Pinyin Mínxióng Xiāng ) is a rural community ( , Xiāng ) with about 70,000 inhabitants in the district of Chiayi in central Taiwan .

Other spellings are Minsyong and Min-Hsiung . Mayor is Ho Chia-Heng .

Chung Cheng National University is located in Minxiong .
