Miranda Garrison

Miranda Garrison (* 1950 ) is an American dancer , choreographer and actress .

Life

Garrison worked as an actress from the late 1970s. While filming the film Xanadu , she met the choreographer Kenny Ortega in 1980 , with whom she subsequently worked repeatedly.

She achieved greater fame through her participation in the cult film Dirty Dancing , in whose production she again assisted Ortega and also took on the role of Vivian Pressman in the film . She got the role after actress Lynn Lipton fell ill the first week of filming and was replaced by Kelly Bishop , who was originally slated for the role of Vivian Pressman .

In 2004 she appeared in the sequel Dirty Dancing 2 in a different role. She served as a jury member for the British television program Dirty Dancing: The Time of Your Life in 2007.

In addition, she acted as a choreographer for numerous film and television productions in the 1990s and early 2000s and appeared sporadically as an actress.
