Mircea Krishan

Mircea Krishan (actually Mircea Crișan , born August 8, 1924 in a railroad car in Transylvania ; † November 22, 2013 in Düsseldorf ) was a Romanian- German actor .

Life

Krishan was the son of a German showman and a Romanian mother. Born in a railroad car, he traveled around in the circus wagon with his parents as a child . He later studied Dramatic Art at the State Drama School in Bucharest . In the 1950s and 1960s he starred in several Romanian comedies and in the theater. He became a well-known star in what was then the Eastern Bloc ; Khrushchev is said to have ordered him to Moscow for a private performance .

He used his second guest appearance at the Music Hall Olympia in Paris to move to the Federal Republic of Germany in 1968 . From 1970, he was initially longtime Sketch Partner of Rudi Carrell , followed by eleven years with Gisela Schlüter in Snack . As an actor, he was seen in television series such as Derrick , Polizeiruf 110 and Großstadtrevier . He also starred in four episodes of the Tatort television series between 1974 and 1987 . His films include Werner - Beinhart! , Schtonk! and Wie im Himmel , which was nominated for an Oscar in 2005 for best foreign film.

Krishan played between 1993 and 1997 and from 1999 to 2006 at the Störtebeker Festival , in 2006 he went on a theater tour with Meister Eder and his Pumuckl . In 2007 he received in Sibiu the Culture Prize of the Romanian Theater Union (UNITER). He spoke German, Romanian, Russian, Hebrew, English, Bulgarian, Italian and Czech and lived in the Hessian Main Valley .

He died in November 2013 in Düsseldorf .
