Miroslav Raichl
Miroslav Raichl (born February 2, 1930 in Náchod , Czechoslovakia ; † January 11, 1998 ) was a Czech composer and music teacher.
Raichl studied composition with Pavel Bořkovec at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague from 1949 to 1953 , after which he was an aspirant with Václav Dobiáš for three years . After working for the Czech Music Fund , he was secretary at the Association of Czechoslovak Composers from 1958 to 1962 . From 1965 to 1970 he taught at the Prague Conservatory and from 1980 at the Pardubice Conservatory . In addition to three operas, Raichl composed symphonic works and chamber music, choral works and songs.
