Miroslav Tadić

Miroslav Tadić (* 1959 in Belgrade ) is a Serbian guitarist.

Live and act

Tadić received classical guitar training in Yugoslavia and Italy. In 1979 he went to the USA, where he completed his training at CalArts in Los Angeles . He has been teaching there since 1985.

Tadić's repertoire includes works from the baroque and classical periods as well as blues, jazz and rock music. In 1997 he was named one of the thirty most radical and most individualistic guitarists in the world by the US American magazine Guitar Player . Tadić worked with musicians such as Jack Bruce , David Torn , Joachim Kühn , L. Shankar , Howard Levy , Dušan Bogdanović , Theodosii Spassov , Kudsi Ergüner , Djivan Gasparyan , Pandit Swapan Chaudhuri , Markus Stockhausen and Maria João . He worked on projects with Terry Riley and performed at the Los Angeles Opera with Plácido Domingo .

In 1986 he met Mark Nauseef and Walter Quintus , with whom he realized a large number of recordings and projects. Most recently he has devoted himself to Macedonian music with the guitarist Vlatko Stefanovski and the singer Vanja Lazarová . He also performed with the Grande Mothers of Invention . Kristjan Järvi brought him in 2013 for his project Balkan Fever with Theodosii Spassov , Vlatko Stefanovski and the MDR Symphony Orchestra Leipzig .
