The labels Candent Songs and Polydor published Mirrorwriting in April 2011 as MP3 , CD and LP . They also released a limited box set that also contains several bonus tracks on two LPs and one CD .
As singles were Night Air and Lady Luck decoupled, both singles in addition to the original versions of remixes of their respective songs.
Charts and reception
Mirrorwriting reached number 15 in the album charts of the Official Charts Company as the highest position.
The Telegraph wrote about the album: “With mirrorwriting , Jamie Woon proves that he is about to become an authentic and exciting British soul star.” The intro read: “ With exceptions such as the spherical gravity, mirrorwriting isnot Outstanding, but an extremely fine album. ”And Der Tagesspiegel said:“ The extraordinary thing about Mirrorwriting is that the production makes an extremely tasteful impression, but under the surface it sometimes sounds pretty stumbled and disharmonious and Woon does all of that with his soul singing Outshines in the most beautiful way and holds together. "
Trivia
Mae McKenna, whose voice can be heard on the song Night Air , is the mother of Jamie Woon.
