Mnium is a genus of mosses from the family Mniaceae with holarctic distribution.
description
The moss plants of this genus grow upright or sometimes slightly arched. Often they are tinged red. They have lanceolate to ovate leaves, the edges of which are usually lined with multiple rows and have double teeth. The leaf vein usually extends to the tip of the leaf. The leaf cells are rounded - hexagonal.
