Mohamed Bakir El-Nakib

Mohamed Bakir El-Nakib ( Arabic حمادة محمد بكير النقيب, DMG Ḥamāda Muḥammad Bakīr an-Naqīb ; * April 6, 1974 in Alexandria ) is an Egyptian handball goalkeeper and coach who has participated in four Olympic Games .

The 1.92 m tall and 92 kg heavy El-Nakib played for the Olympics in his hometown. In 2006 the Tunisian Club Africain signed him . In the 2008/09 season he was in the goal of the French club Paris Handball , with whom he reached the round of 16 in the 2008/09 EHF European Cup Winners' Cup . He then played for the clubs Police and Sporting in Egypt.

With the Egyptian national team , Nakib took part in the 1996 , 2000 , 2004 and 2008 Olympic Games . He took part in several world championships, so u. a. 1999 , 2007 , 2009 , 2011 and 2013 . At the African Cup of Nations he won gold in 2004 and 2008, silver in 2006 and 2010 and bronze in 2014.

He played a total of 350 international matches .
