Mohammed Afzal Khan

Mohammed Afzal Khan (* 1811 ; † October 7, 1867 ) was Emir of Afghanistan from 1866 to 1867 .

He was the son of the founder of the Barakzai dynasty, Dost Mohammed . After the death of his father, his younger brother, Shir Ali, became an emir of Afghanistan. However, this was ousted after only three years by Mohammed Afzal Khan, who died on October 7, 1867. Shir Ali followed him back to the throne.

His son Abdur Rahman Khan was the emir of Afghanistan from 1880 to 1901.
