Career

society

Mohammed Camara was born in Conakry, the capital of Guinea. From 1993 Camara played in France for seven years. Initially active at AS Beauvais in Ligue 2 until 1997 , he subsequently played for league rivals Le Havre AC . During his time with these two clubs he was awarded to ES Troyes AC and OSC Lille . In 2000, Camara moved to the English second division club, the Wolverhampton Wanderers, for a fee of £ 100,000 . Then he was under contract with Burnley FC for two seasons . There the defensive player was an absolute regular under Steve Cotterill . Through strong games in the English second division, the traditional Scottish club Celtic Glasgow became aware of the central defender and signed him on a free transfer. Camara only made 19 league appearances in Glasgow as he could not get past Paul Telfer , Dianbobo Baldé and Stephen McManus . The season ended with the small double from championship and league cup . Nevertheless, Camara changed the club prematurely. In August 2006, he signed a three-year contract with Derby County . From 2007 to 2008 Camara was on loan with Norwich City and Blackpool FC under contract. After playing for a year in Scotland at FC St. Mirren from February 2009, he ended his career in May 2010 after a brief interlude at Torquay United .

National team

Mohammed Camara played a total of 16 international matches for Guinea from 1996 to 2000 . At the age of 22 he played for his home country at the 1998 African Cup of Nations in Burkina Faso.
