Monika Hinterberger (born October 5, 1962 in Linz , Upper Austria ; † February 5, 2018 there ) was an Austrian artist .

Her studio was located in the city center of Leonding , only a few meters from the sound monument Nachklang-Rückhall , whose exterior design Monika Hinterberger played a key role.

Life

Monika Hinterberger grew up in Leonding, graduated from the Salzburg University of Education in 1984 and, after several years of teaching, turned more and more to art. In the late 1980s and early 1990s she completed her studies at the Vienna Art School for Ceramics. Since 2003 she has been a member of the Professional Association of Visual Artists and since 2005 a member of the ICCA Association for the Promotion of Contemporary Ceramic Art . Then she first dealt with the shape of the cuboid, whereby her objects are penetrated by plates or rods. Since 2008, her work has focused on the perception of movement phenomena and the recording of these dynamic processes.
