Nax, municipality of Mont-Noble
Location of the municipality

Mont-Noble is a merged municipality in the canton of Valais in Switzerland . It was created on January 1, 2011 and consists of the former municipalities Vernamiège , Nax and Mase .

In the referendum on February 24, 2008, the planned merger of the three municipalities Vernamiège, Nax and Mase only narrowly failed. Nax and Mase said yes, but Vernamiège rejected the project with 67 to 61 votes. Another referendum took place on September 7, 2008, in which all three municipalities accepted the project.
