Montaure is a village and a former French commune with 1,042 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Eure department in the Normandy region . It belonged to the arrondissement of Les Andelys and the canton of Pont-de-l'Arche . The inhabitants are called Montaurois .
With effect from January 1, 2017, the previously independent municipalities of Montaure and Tostes were merged to form a Commune nouvelle called Terres de Bord and have since had the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are in Montaure.

Montaure is about 22 kilometers south of Rouen .
Neighboring towns are Tostes in the north and northeast, Incarville in the northeast, Louviers in the east, Surville in the south, Crasville in the southwest and La Haye-Malherbe in the west.
