Montlaur is a village and a former French commune with 560 (as of January 1, 2017) in the Aude department in the Occitanie region . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Carcassonne and the canton of La Montagne d'Alaric .

With effect from January 1, 2019, the former municipalities of Montlaur and Pradelles-en-Val were merged to form the Commune nouvelle Val-de-Dagne and have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative headquarters are located in Montlaur.
