Moos is part of the Burgheim market . It was mentioned for the first time in 1321 when Ulrich the Vogt of Niederarnbach bequeathed a farm to “Moos” to the Niederschönenfeld monastery . All other farms in Moos belonged to Hofmark Straß as a manorial until 1848 . The center of Moos is a small chapel that belongs to the parish of the Assumption of Mary in Straß.

On July 1, 1972, the independent municipality of Moos, which belonged to the district of Neuburg an der Donau , was incorporated into the Burgheim market.

Moos consists of about 70 buildings (houses and stables). The Kleine Paar flows through the southern edge of the village . The 400-year-old moss mill was located by the brook, in which flour was still ground until the 1960s. This was demolished in Q1 / 2013 as part of a government resettlement project. In a small, still standing extension of this mill, the existing water power is used to generate electricity (approx. 8 kW continuous output).

At the moment a discussion is taking place as to whether the place should be relocated, as it is located in the floodplain of the Danube and in recent years there has been several major damage from flooding (1999, 2002 and 2005).
