Moreno Moser (born December 25, 1990 in Trento ) is a former Italian cyclist .

Career

In 2008 Moreno Moser won the Tour du Pays de Vaud for juniors and in 2010 the GP Città di Felino . In 2011 he won two stages of the Giro Ciclistico d'Italia junior stage race , finished fifth overall and won the Giro del Medio Brenta and the Trofeo G. Bianchin .

From 2012 Moser drove as a neoprofessional for the Liquigas-Cannondale team . In his first season as a professional he was able to win the Trofeo Laigueglia , Around the Eschborn-Frankfurt Financial Center as well as two stages and the overall ranking of the Tour of Poland . In 2013 he won the Strade Bianche and in 2015 a stage of the Tour of Austria . In 2016 he finished third in the individual time trial of the European Championships and became Italian champion in this discipline.

After Moser switched to Team Astana in 2017 , he won the Trofeo Laigueglia again in 2018. In the 2019 season, Moser competed for the UCI Professional Continental Team Nippo-Vini Fantini-Faizanè . In May of that year he announced his resignation from professional cycling, as he was no longer able to maintain the form necessary for victories long enough.

Moreno Moser comes from a cycling family: He is a nephew of the famous racing cyclists Aldo and Francesco Moser . His brother Leonardo was also a cyclist.
