The Morgraben is a good three hundred meters long orographic left tributary of Odenbaches in the Rhineland-Palatinate district of Kaiserslautern in the area of the municipality Otterbach Otter Mountain belong to local community Niederkirchen .

The Morgraben rises in the natural area of Moschelhöhen in the North Palatinate mountainous region at an altitude of 255  m above sea level. NHN in a meadow almost three hundred meters northwest of the Bügenmühlerhof residential area in Niederkirchen .

The ditch, which has been heavily straightened in its entire course from the source to the mouth, initially flows about 50 m in a northeast direction through grassland, then bends to the east-northeast, then runs for about 300 m through fields and grassland.

It now changes to the east-southeast, then disappears about 60 m downstream directly west of the state road 382 piped into the underground and finally flows underground at a height of 240  m just under thirty meters north-northeast of the confluence of the coal ditch on the other side of the Odenbach creek, twisted underground from the left in the Odenbach coming from the south-southwest .

The Morgraben has a catchment area of ​​0.232 km² and drains over the Odenbach , Glan , Nahe and Rhine into the North Sea . The difference in altitude from its source to its mouth is 15 m, which corresponds to a mean bed gradient of 45.6 ‰ over a length of 329 m.
