Moritz Stephan

Moritz Stephan (* 1989 in Radebeul ) is a German actor .

Life

Moritz Stephan was active as an artist from an early age. Since 2004 he has worked as a drummer in several bands and orchestras. In 2007 he received a one-year scholarship for the "Carl Maria von Weber" University of Music in Dresden . In 2010 he completed his school career with the general university entrance qualification at the Free Factory School in Meißen. Stephan made his first acting experiences before his studies in the youth club of the Meißen Theater, where he played Beckmann in Outside in front of the door . In 2011, also before his studies, he worked at the Annaberg-Buchholz Theater as Woof in the musical Hair and as “The Son” in Dürrenmatt's tragic comedy The Visit of the Old Lady .

He completed his acting studies from 2011 to 2015 at the Rostock University of Music and Drama , where he also obtained his acting diploma. During his training he played in productions a. a. by Tamara Korber , Markus Wünsch , Sonja Hilberger , Gustav Rueb and Nina Hellmuth .

Since the 2014/15 season he has been a permanent member of the theater ensemble at the Theater Junge Generation in Dresden . He played there u. a. Mario in Am Shorter End of Sonnenallee (Director: Mareike Mikat ), “ Robin Hood ” (Director: Ronny Jakubaschk ), the young Egzon, who is deported to Kosovo with his sister , in Deportation Cast by Björn Bicker (Director : Kalma Streun ) and the clerk Wilhelm in The Black Rider . In the 2018/19 season he was there in a new production by Antigone .

He also appeared as a performer in the music video for I believe you, the punk band Feine Sahne Fischfilet . In the 10th season of the ZDF crime series Die Bossin (2019) he took on an episode role as photographer David Schirmer, who has a homosexual love affair with a young professional footballer ( Langston Uibel ).

Moritz Stephan lives in Dresden.
