Morles is a district of the municipality of Nüsttal in the eastern Hessian district of Fulda .

geography

The place is in the east of Hesse in the valley of the Nüst in the nature park Hessische Rhön . State roads 3176 and 3256 intersect in the village .

history

Morles was first mentioned in 1510 in the Mackenzell Office's interest registers . In 1964 the present church was built on the site of the previous chapel .

On February 1, 1971, Morles was merged with five other communities to form the new community of Nüsttal as part of the regional reform in Hesse .

Regular events

  • The wooden shoe fair takes place every two years in October.
  • The Festival of Lights takes place every year on the first weekend in August.
