Mount Spann is a 925 m high mountain in the West Antarctic Queen Elizabeth Land . It marks the northern end of the Panzarini Hills of the Argentina Range on the northeastern foothills of the Pensacola Mountains .
He was discovered and photographed during a non-stop transcontinental flight on January 13, 1956 by the United States Navy from McMurdo Sound to the Weddell Sea and back. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the mountain in 1960 after Staff Sergeant Robert C. Spann of the United States Marine Corps , navigator of a P2V-2N Neptune on the flight.
