action

Preetam, a cartoonist, meets 20-year-old Anita at a tennis game, where she watches her favorite star. Unfortunately, she soon has a problem: She inherits seven million. But she doesn't get the money until her 21st birthday, but only if she is married by then. Her aunt Sita Devi, a fighter for women's rights, doesn't like this at all. Sita is very suspicious of men, but she does not want to forego her inheritance. Therefore, she is looking for a husband for her niece who will marry Anita and then divorce her again, which is possible under the new law.

Sita comes across Preetam, not knowing that he is in love with Anita. Anita discovers at the registry office that her lover has agreed to this marriage, her aunt's will, and does not want to see him again after the marriage. However, Preetam kidnaps her and takes her to his brother's house.

In this house, Anita befriends Preetam's sister-in-law and sees how a traditional Indian wife behaves and learns to appreciate it.

Preetam is concerned that Anita does not love him and speeds up the divorce by falsely signing the divorce papers. He leaves Bombay with a broken heart . Only now does she notice her feelings for Preetam and hurry to the airport. In the end, the couple are reunited.
