Muchammed Muchammed Karimberdi uulu ( Kyrgyz Мухаммед Мухаммед Каримберди уулу , English transcription: Mukhamed Karimberdi Uulu ; born March  14, 1999 in Bishkek ) is a Kyrgyz snooker player . He was twice Kyrgyz champion ( 2015 , 2017 ) and is the first Kyrgyz to play a century break at an international championship.

Career

Russian billiards

At the beginning of his career, Muchammed mainly played Russian billiards . At the age of 13 he started playing tournaments in his hometown of Bishkek . In early 2014, he reached the quarter-finals in a youth tournament after defeating Arsen Kalenbajew , among others . In August 2014 he reached the round of 16 at the World Youth Championship in the combined pyramid discipline in Cholponata and was defeated there by the eventual world champion Dastan Lepschakow . A little later he made it into the round of 16 at the Kyrgyz Cup and the Kyrgyz Championship in the Free Pyramid . At the end of the year, he reached the quarter-finals at the national youth championship.

After he was eliminated early in 2015, Muchammed moved into the semi-finals of the Kyrgyz championship in the dynamic pyramid in 2016 , in which he was defeated by the eventual tournament winner Ysatbek Ratbekow . This qualified him for the Dynamic Pyramid World Cup , which took place in Bishkek in October 2016. At the World Cup, however, Muchammed was eliminated after a 4: 7 defeat against Ildar Wachitow in the first round.

In the following years Muchammed focused on snooker. It wasn't until 2019 that he played Russian billiards again and qualified for the 2019 Free Pyramid World Cup in Cholponata. Even in his second World Cup participation, he remained without a win and was eliminated in the preliminary round after defeats against Vasif Məmmədov and Argen Abdyldajew .

Muchammed played his first snooker tournament abroad in 2014 when he reached the round of 16 at the Russian Cup in Koroljow . In May he won the city championship in Bishkek with a 4-2 final victory over Kalys Kamchybek uulu . After reaching the semi-finals at the Bishkek Cup and a junior tournament in Saint Petersburg in the summer of 2014 , he reached the quarter-finals of the 2014 Kyrgyz championship .

In October 2015, Muchammed reached the round of 48 at the first U18 World Cup in Saint Petersburg, where he narrowly lost to Rodion Yudin . In December 2015 he became the Kyrgyz champion for the first time when he defeated Kalys Sagynalijew 5-1 in the final .

In early 2016, Muchammed won the Bishkek city championship with a 4-1 final win over Kubanychbek Sagyndykow . In the summer he reached the semi-finals at the national championship in 6-red snooker and the finals at the La Maison Cup and lost each to Kalys Sagynalijew. He also took part in three amateur world championships in 2016. After he was eliminated in the U18 and U21 age groups in the last 48 and in the group stage, he reached the adults ' round of 64 in November 2016 , in which he was defeated 2: 4 to the former professional Alexander Ursenbacher . At the U18 World Cup, he was the first Kyrgyz to score a century break .

In February 2017, Muchammed became Kyrgyz champions for the second time with a 7-2 final win over Syjmyk Uraimow . A few weeks later he was eliminated in the preliminary round of the U21 Asian Cup . In May he reached the quarter-finals of the Moscow Mayor's Cup , in which he lost 4-0 to professional player Nigel Bond . In June 2017, the 6-Red Asian Championship was the first international snooker championship to be played in Kyrgyzstan. With a win from three preliminary round matches, Muchammed was eliminated from the group stage. In December, Muchammed won an international snooker tournament for the first time in the final against Serhiy Issajenko in Kiev with the First Snow Cup. A few days later he won the Sierra Cup in Bishkek with a 5-0 final win against Syjmyk Uraimow.

In 2018, two more victories followed at tournaments in the Kyrgyz capital. Against Syjmyk Uraimow (5: 1) he won the Decomb Cup and at the Kant Cup he prevailed in the final against Kalys Sagynalijew with 5: 1. In the same year Muchammed reached the quarter-finals of the Ukrainian Independence Cup in Kiev, where he was defeated by the Ukrainian Serhiy Issajenko 3: 4.

In March 2020, Muchammed won the Kyrgyz Cup by beating Syjmyk Uraimow in the final.
