Ysatbek Ratbekow ( Kyrgyz Ызатбек Ратбеков , also: Ysat Ratbekow ( Kyrgyz Ызат Ратбеков ), English transcription: Yzatbek Ratbekov or Yzat Ratbekov ; *  May 17, 1996 billiards , the Russian billiard player in Bishkek is a Kyrgyz billiard variant .

He won the gold medal in the combined pyramid discipline at the Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games in 2017 and was the Kyrgyz champion in the dynamic pyramid in 2016 .

Career

Russian billiards

Ratbekow achieved his first major success in 2014 at the Bekdan Cup in his hometown of Bishkek , when he defeated the former World Cup third-placed Kanat Sydykow and finally won the tournament 4-1 in the final against Nurlan Abykejew . A little later, in Cholponata, he took part in the combined pyramid for the first time. After he was eliminated in the preliminary round with the youth , he reached the second round with the adults through victories against Iossif Abramow and the two-time world champion Kanybek Sagynbajew , in which he was defeated by the Kazak Arbi Muziyev 2-6 . In September 2014 he won the Kyrgyz Cup for the first time with a 6: 5 final win against Kamoliddin Yessiddinov and reached the final of the Kyrgyz championship in the dynamic pyramid , which he lost 6 1: 6 against Dastan Lepschakow . At the Dynamic Pyramid World Cup in 2014 , after defeating the Ukrainian Jewhen Novossad , who had become world champion in the Combined Pyramid at the beginning of the year, he reached the quarter-finals, in which he lost to Jernar Tschimbajew . In the Free Pyramid , he finished thirteenth at the Youth World Cup and reached the quarter-finals in the adult division , where he was eliminated by Oleg Yerkulew . At the end of the year, he also reached the quarter-finals of the Kazakh Independence Cup.

At the beginning of 2015, Ratbekow reached another World Cup quarter-finals, this time in the combined pyramid . In contrast, he was eliminated from the Moscow Mayor 's Cup , the Asian Open and the Free Pyramid World Cup 2015 in the last 64. At the national championships in 2015, he did not get past the quarter-finals.

In October 2016 Ratbekow became Kyrgyz champion in the dynamic pyramid with a 6-2 final win against Arsen Kalenbajew . At the international level, 2016 was less successful for him. So he remained without a win at two of the three world championships, only in the Free Pyramid he won at least his opening game, but then retired in the round of 32. In no other international tournament in 2016 did he get past the sixteenth finals.

In 2017 Ratbekow started more successfully again when he only lost in the quarter-finals to eventual world champion Iossif Abramov at the Combined Pyramid World Cup . A little later, however, he failed again at the Mayor's Cup in Moscow in the round of 32. In September 2017, Russian billiards was part of the sports program at the Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan for the first time . As one of two Kyrgyz representatives, he took part in the combined pyramid competition . With victories against the former world champion Älichan Qaranejew , Annamämmet Annamämmedow and Ibabekir Bekdurdyjew he finally reached the final, in which he won the gold medal 5-1 against Älibek Omarow . A little later he retired from the Savvidi Cup and the World Cup finals again early.

At the Dynamic Pyramid World Cup 2018 Ratbekow reached the last sixteen, in which he was defeated by the eventual world champion Dmytro Biloserow . In the same year he was eliminated from the Savvidi Cup and the Free Pyramid World Cup in the round of 64.

At the beginning of 2019 Ratbekow was eliminated from the Combined Pyramid World Cup in the round of 32. At the World Cup in the same discipline, he reached at least the last sixteen. In August 2019 he reached the round of 32 at the Free Pyramid World Cup in Cholponata , in which he failed to Andrej Hluschanin . A month later he reached the semi-finals at the Oomat Cup in Bishkek and lost to Kubanytschbek Sagyndykow . After Ratbekow was eliminated in the round of 32 at the Kremlin Cup , he reached the second round of the 2019 Savvidi Cup , in which he was defeated by Aleksandr Sidorov .

snooker

Ratbekow also occasionally plays snooker . In July 2013 he was part of the Kyrgyz squad at the Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games in Incheon, South Korea . In the competition in 6-red snooker he withdrew his participation at short notice. A few days later he was eliminated from the first round of the snooker competition against the Japanese Takao Kurimoto . In 2014 he reached the semi-finals of the Kyrgyz championship , where he was narrowly defeated by Kalys Kamtschybek Uulu (2: 3).
