The Dynamic Pyramid World Championship 2014 was the fourth edition of the world championship in the dynamic pyramid billiards discipline . It took place from September 18-21 , 2014 in Taras , and thus for the second time in a row in Kazakhstan .
After 2007, the Kyrgyz Kanybek Sagynbajew became world champion for the second time , defeating Kazakhs Dauren Urynbajew 7: 5 in the final. Overall, it was his third world championship title in Russian billiards , which made him the most successful player at world championships in this billiards variant after titles with his compatriot Kanybek Sagyndykow , who was competing for Kazakhstan . The defending champion was Russian Sergei Tusow , who was eliminated in the round of 32 against Sailan Adamow . Yevgeny Kurta and Jernar Tschimbajew took third place.

While the two-time world champion Kanybek Sagynbayev was in a World Cup final for the sixth time, the Kazakh Dauren Urynbajew had made it past the quarter-finals for the first time. The Kyrgyz quickly took a 4-0 lead. Only in the fifth game was Urynbayev able to stop the run and clearly win 8-0. Sagynbayev, however, secured two of the three following games and came up to one point on the title (6: 2). Urynbayev then shortened to 6: 5 before Sagynbayev won the twelfth game 8: 0 and thus became world champion in the dynamic pyramid for the second time after 2007 .
