Dmytro Olehowytsch Biloserow ( Ukrainian Дмитро Олегович Білозеров , English transcription: Dmitriy Belozerov ; born  May 11, 1994 ) is a Ukrainian billiard player from Mykolaiv , who competes in the billiard variant Russian billiards . He became world champion in the dynamic pyramid discipline in 2018 . He had previously won the Kremlin Cup in 2016 and finished third in the Combined Pyramid in 2017 .

Career

2007–2011: Beginnings and successes in youth

Biloserow first made international attention at the age of 13 when he fought his way to the round of 16 at the Ukrainian Independence Cup, the third stop of the 2007 European Cup, but in which he had to admit defeat to Kostjantyn Kulyk 2: 4. In 2009 he took third place as the best Ukrainian at a junior tournament in Rostov-on-Don .

In March 2011 Biloserow won a national junior tournament for the first time. A few days later he won the bronze medal at the European Junior Championships ( Free Pyramid ) after losing to Armen Gabrieljan in the semifinals . In the same year he reached the quarter-finals of the Ukrainian men's championship and was runner- up in the junior division after a final defeat by Wladyslaw Kossohow . In September 2011, he moved into the semi-finals of the Junior World Championships and was defeated there by the Kazakh Älibek Omarow (2: 5). A month later he reached the sixteenth finals in his first men's World Cup in Kiev , where he lost 6-2 to eventual world champion Jaroslaw Wynokur . In November 2011 he was third in the Yevgenia Samodurova Cup in Yekaterinburg and a month later he reached the round of 16 at the Kremlin Cup , in which he was defeated 2: 4 to Russian Dmitri Bajew . Shortly afterwards, he won the final tournament of the Cup of Hope, a Ukrainian junior tournament series, and reached the semi-finals of the final tournament of the national cup in the adult class, in which he lost to Kostjantyn Kulyk.

2012–2015: First international successes

At the beginning of 2012 Biloserow took part in a world cup tournament for the first time and reached the round of 32. After reaching the quarter-finals at the Robitex Cup, he lost the final at the Junior European Championship against his compatriot Kyrylo Ustytsch (2: 6) and drew in the Men's EM into the quarter-finals, where he lost 6-2 to Sergei Goryslavets . At the Ukrainian team championship in 2012, he finished second with Valeria Vasyleva and Wladyslaw Kossohow . In September 2012 he achieved his first podium in the World Cup in Sudak . He only had to admit defeat to Belarusian Dsjanis Kolassau in the semi-finals (2: 6). A few weeks later he also came in third in the national championship (Free Pyramid). At the Free Pyramid World Cup 2012 , he reached the quarter-finals, in which he was defeated 6-1 by the eventual world champion Wladislaw Osminin . At the Kremlin Cup 2012 he was eliminated in the semifinals against Kanybek Sagynbajew and at the Dynamic Pyramid World Cup he was defeated in the second round to finalist Pawel Mechowow (2: 5). At the end of 2012 he reached the quarter-finals of the Galaxy Cup and won the final tournament of the Ukrainian Cup by beating Jewhen Talow 5-1 in the final.

In early 2013, Biloserow was the first Ukrainian champion in the combined pyramid in the final against Artem Dazenko (6: 4) . A little later he took part in the Combined Pyramid World Cup for the first time . After a 6-0 opening win against Kari Timosaari , however , he had to admit defeat to defending champion Alexander Tschepikow 3-6 in the second round . At the Stepanova Cup in 2013 he lost in the final against Pavlo Radionov . In April he became the first Ukrainian to win the Robitex Cup in Yekaterinburg with a 6-4 win over his compatriot Artur Piwtschenko . In the Ukrainian preliminary round for the Dynamic Pyramid World Cup 2013 he was defeated by Mykyta Wolyk and thus missed the qualification. At the World Cup in the Free Pyramid , his fifth participation in the World Cup, he had no win for the first time. He lost his first round match 6: 7 against Vasif Məmmədov . Also at the Kremlin Cup 2013 an early exit followed. In the round of the last 128 he narrowly failed against the Russian Alexander Murawjow (3: 4).

In April 2014, Biloserow reached the semifinals of the Prince Open in Moscow and lost this against Jernar Tschimbajew (3: 5). In June he won the Pogodin Open in Saint Petersburg by beating Ivan Pawenko 5-2 in the final . In the Ukrainian selection tournament for the European Championship, however, he clearly failed to Maksym Kolenko (0: 6). In December 2014 he reached a round of 16 in the World Cup. He made it to the quarter-finals at the 2015 Asian Cup. A little later, he narrowly missed the 2015 Dynamic Pyramid World Cup . In the decisive qualifying game he had to admit defeat to the Russian Yuri Sujew 4: 5.

Since 2016: International breakthrough and world championship title

In early 2016, Biloserow took part in the finals of a world championship for the first time in over two years. At the Combined Pyramid World Cup , he was eliminated in the second round against Maxim Pan . A little later he won the Longoni Russia Cup in the final against Sergei Goryslavets . At the team world championship he formed the fourth Ukrainian team together with Oleksandr Bedewka and was eliminated in the preliminary round. In October 2016 he reached the final at a professional tournament in Kiev, which he lost to Volodymyr Perkun , and the second round at the Dynamic Pyramid World Cup in Bishkek , in which he was eliminated 4-7 against Jernar Tschimbayew . A little later he won the Kremlin Cup with a 4-0 final victory against the Kazakhs Älibek Omarow . At the World Cup in the Dynamic Pyramid he reached the round of 16 and lost 7-2 to Dsjanis Kolassau . At the final tournament of the World Cup 2016 he made it to the quarterfinals, in which he had to admit defeat to Dmitri Schkoda 4-5 .

In early 2017 he made it to the semi-finals for the first time at a World Cup. At the World Cup in the Combined Pyramid , Biloserow defeated the former world champion Jaroslaw Tarnowezkyj , among others , before he was eliminated in the round of the last 4 with 1: 6 against Dastan Lepschakow . In the same year he reached the second round of the Moscow Mayor's Cup for the second time after 2013, as well as the semifinals of the Savvidi Cup in Rostov-on-Don and the quarter-finals of the Ukrainian championship (Free Pyramid). At the 2017 World Team Championship , he and Artem Moissejenko formed one of the two Ukrainian teams that made it to the quarter-finals. At the end of the year he was eliminated from the World Cup finals in the round of 16 against Alexei Shoschin and won the Swojaka Cup with a 6-1 final win against Dastan Lepschakow.

In 2018, Biloserow started with seventeenth places at the World Cup opener in Moscow and at the Mayor's Cup in Kaliningrad . In April 2018, he made it past the round of 16 for the first time at the World Cup in the Dynamic Pyramid . After victories against Ruslan Kuttschubajew (6: 1), Pawel Kuzmin (6: 5), Ysatbek Ratbekow (6: 1), Kanat Sydykow (6: 2) and Älichan Qaranejew (6: 1), he moved in as the seventh Ukrainian World Cup final a. In the final Dmytro Biloserow defeated the Russian Iossif Abramow 7: 5 and became world champion for the first time. He is the fifth Ukrainian World Cup winner in Russian billiards and, after Yaroslav Tarnovetskyj, the second in the Dynamic Pyramid.

A few days after his World Cup success, Biloserow won the Moscow Mayor's Cup in Moscow by beating Sergei Kryzhanovsky 6-5 in the final . In the summer of 2018 he reached the final of the Ajara Open , which he lost 3: 7 to Iossif Abramow and reached the semifinals of the Telavi Open, in which he was defeated by the eventual tournament winner Mikhail Zaryov . At the Kremlin Cup 2018 he was eliminated in the quarterfinals against the eventual winner Oleg Yerkulew . In October he won the Orenburg Open in Orenburg with a 6-1 final victory over Anatoly Dmitrijew . A little later, however, he was eliminated from the Savvidi Cup 2018 in the round of 64. At the final tournament of the World Cup 2018 he reached the quarter-finals and was defeated by the eventual winner Iossif Abramow. At the end of the year he was eliminated from the Free Pyramid World Cup in the sixteenth finals against Batyr Geldyjew and reached the semi-finals of the Trestfom Cup.

After reaching the quarter-finals of the Ukrainian championship , Biloserow was eliminated in February 2019 at the World Cup in the Combined Pyramid in the sixteenth-finals against Maxim Zverev and the World Cup opening tournament ended for him in the round of 64. In May 2019, last year's winner was achieved Biloserow once again made it into the final at the Mayor's Cup in Moscow, in which he had to admit defeat to Mikhail Zaryov 2: 7. Two weeks later he reached the final again at the second World Cup and this time lost to Iossif Abramov 4-5. At the Free Pyramid World Cup , he was eliminated in the round of 32 against Dastan Lepschakow. At the Chechen Open in Grozny Biloserow had to accept another final defeat against Iossif Abramow (2: 5). At the Kremlin Cup 2019 he reached the round of 16. In October 2019 he became Ukrainian champion in the Free Pyramid for the first time with a 7-4 victory in the final against Mykyta Adamez . After reaching the last 16 at the 2019 Savvidi Cup , he was eliminated in the sixteenth finals of the Lemajew Cup and the quarter-finals of the Trestfom Cup. In December 2019, Biloserow moved into the final in two tournaments. After he had to admit defeat to the Kyrgyz Dastan Lepschakow with 2: 6 at the Minsk Cup , he prevailed at the Admare Cup in Limassol against Semyon Saizew with 6: 0.

In 2020 Biloserow took part in the Champions Cup for the first time and reached the semi-finals, in which he was defeated by the eventual tournament winner Iossif Abramow.
