Äujes Schaghyparbekuly Jeljubajew ( Kazakh Әуез Жағыпарбекұлы Елюбаев , Russian Ауэз Жагипарбекович Елюбаев Aues Schagiparbekowitsch Jeljubajew , English transcription: Auez Elyubaev ; *  16th February 1986 ) is a former Kazakhstan billiard players from Semipalatinsk , in the variant of the billiard Russian billiard compete.

He became world champion in the combined pyramid discipline in 2009 .

Career

Yelyubaev started playing billiards at the age of 15 . From 2003 he took part in the Asian Open every year. He achieved his greatest success in the youth field in 2004 when he became Kazakh Vice Junior Champion in the Combined Pyramid .

Yeljubaev won his first national championship title among adults in 2005 in the 8-ball pyramid discipline. In the same year he took part in the World Cup for the first time and was eliminated with two wins after four preliminary round matches.

In April 2007, the World Cup was held in the combined pyramid for the first time . Yelyubayev made it to the quarter-finals, where he was defeated by the Russian Daniil Boguschewski . After he was eliminated in the round of 16 in the Dynamic Pyramid , he reached the quarter-finals again at the Free Pyramid World Cup at the end of 2007 and lost to Arman Baklatschjan .

In 2008, Jeljubaev became Kazakh champion for the second time by beating Dänen Urynbajew in the final , this time in the Free Pyramid . In the same year he reached the quarter-finals for the first time at the Asian Open . At the two world championships, however, he retired early; in the combined pyramid in the preliminary round and in the free pyramid in the sixteenth finals.

In February 2009, Yelyubaev became world champion in the combined pyramid in Almaty . After defeating the former world champions Jaroslaw Wynokur and Oleksandr Palamar , among others , he prevailed 6: 5 in the final against the defending champion, his compatriot Älichan Qaranejew . It was the only World Cup final so far in which two Kazakhs competed against each other. Four months later, Jeljubajew also made it into the final at the Asian Open , but this time had to admit defeat to Belarusian Jauhen Kurta 2: 7. After he was eliminated in the preliminary round at the Kremlin Cup , he reached the sixteenth finals at the Free Pyramid World Cup 2009 .

In 2010, Yelyubaev was the first time Kazakh champion in the combined pyramid in the final against Shamal Shumaniyazov . In February 2010 he lost at the Combined Pyramid World Cup against Vasif Məmmədov and Qanybek Saghyndyqow and was the first defending champion in this discipline to be eliminated in the preliminary round. Due to a serious car accident, Yelyubaev had to take a break for a few months in 2010. In November he reached the last sixteen at the Free Pyramid World Cup in Willingen , where he narrowly defeated his compatriot Däur Urynbajew 5: 6. At the end of the year he secured the title of absolute Kazakh master .

At the Combined Pyramid World Cup 2011 Jeljubaev reached the round of 16, which he lost to Oleksandr Palamar. In the same year he reached the quarter-finals at the Asian Open and the Champions Cup .

In early 2012, Jeljubaev reached the quarter-finals of the Tatarstan Cup in Kazan and the Kazakh championship in the Dynamic Pyramid . In March 2012 he took part in a world championship for the last time; at the Combined Pyramid World Cup in Bishkek he reached the round of 64, in which he was defeated by the eventual finalist Yuri Pashchinsky 3: 4. At the Asian Open 2012 he reached the sixteenth finals.

After a year break, Yelyubaev took part in two tournaments again in 2014. He was eliminated from the Kazakh Championship in the Combined Pyramid in the round of 64 and reached the round of 16 at the Kazakh Independence Cup, in which he lost to Emil Mudarisov .
