Muhayer Oktay (born April 28, 1999 in Hagen ) is a German - Turkish soccer player .

Career

Oktay, whose parents come from Muş , began his club career in the youth department of FC Iserlohn and then played in turn for the youth departments of the clubs Rot-Weiss Essen , VfL Bochum and Fortuna Düsseldorf . For the 2017/18 season he was accepted into the team of Fortuna Düsseldorf II and played 17 league games for them.

In the winter transfer period 2018/19 he accepted the offer from the Turkish first division club Beşiktaş Istanbul and switched to Turkey as a professional player. His professional debut was on August 23, 2019 against Göztepe Izmir . For the second half of the 2019/2020 season, he was loaned to the second division club Giresunspor .

National team

Oktay opted for an international career in the Turkish national team and made his debut here in April 2017 with an assignment for the Turkish U-18 national team . This was followed by assignments with the Turkish U-19 and Turkey U-21 national teams .
