Multicultural house

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Multicultural House in Neu-Ulm was an institution supported by the Multicultural House Ulm eV. The association was banned on December 28, 2005 by the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior and the multicultural house was closed. The city of Neu-Ulm plans to convert the building into a homeless shelter .

Islamist hub

The multicultural house gained international attention as a hub of Islamist activities and a hub for high-ranking terrorists in Germany. Reda Seyam and Yehia Yousif , among others, frequented the multicultural house .

“During the search and seizure operations, the multicultural house in Neu-Ulm turned out to be a true refuge for Islamist extremism. From the club rooms incriminating material was removed by truck, which shows that activists in the multicultural house systematically agitated against our constitutional order and against the idea of international understanding . The activities of the multicultural house have been directed in a very extreme way against the peaceful coexistence of Germans and foreigners and of various groups of foreigners in the Federal Republic of Germany as well as public safety and order "

- Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior : press release of April 6, 2006

In the library of the multicultural house there were writings that present Christians and Jews as enemies, "who must be executed if they do not repent and convert to Islam ". The material openly promotes jihad and explains the meaning of jihad: "The special meaning of jihad means: The unbelievers kill after they have received the call to convert to Islam and have been made aware of its true meaning". Elsewhere it says: "... should the non-Muslims refuse to follow the example of the believers, there is an obligation to kill them".

In the multicultural house, radical Islam was intensively promoted and young people were converted to Islam . In the book The Children of Jihad , an entire chapter is devoted to the multicultural house.

The word “ Mekka ” in Arabic script was written above the “Multicultural House” in front of the house .

Association ban

On December 28, 2005 the association was banned by the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior and the multicultural house was closed. The building has been empty since then. A brothel is housed in the adjacent building complex.

The Islamic Information Center in Ulm offered replacement structures for the forbidden multicultural house.

At the beginning of 2017, the media reported about plans by the city of Neu-Ulm to convert the building of the former multicultural house into a homeless shelter.

Visitors to the multicultural house

Again and again there were reports of terrorists or visitors to the multi-culture house suspected of being terrorized:

The CIA victim Khaled al-Masri probably also visited the house.
