The Municipio Entre Ríos (also: La Moreta ) is a district in the Tarija Department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

The municipality Entre Ríos is the only municipality in the province of Burnet O'Connor . It is bordered to the north by the Chuquisaca department , to the northwest by the province of Eustaquio Méndez , to the west by the province of Cercado , to the southwest by the province of Anicto Arce , and to the south and east by the province of Gran Chaco .

The municipality Entre Ríos comprises a total of 134 localities, the central place of the municipality is the rural town Entre Ríos with 4,044 inhabitants ( 2012 census ) in the central part of the district.

The municipality Entre Ríos is located in the eastern Andean cordillera in the transition area between the Bolivian Altiplano and the sparsely populated Gran Chaco in the lowlands. The climate is subtropical and is characterized by a clear contrast between the dry season and the rainy season .

The annual total precipitation is 800 mm (see climate diagram), the months May to October are arid with monthly precipitation of less than 15 mm, the summer months from December to March show monthly values ​​between 100 and 160 mm. The average annual temperature for Entre Ríos is 21.5 ° C, the monthly temperatures vary between 16 ° C in June and 25 ° C in January.
