The municipality of San Antonio de Esmoruco is a district in the Department of Potosí in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
The municipality of San Antonio de Esmoruco is one of the three municipalities in the province of Sur Lípez . It borders the Municipio San Pablo de Lípez to the north and west, the Republic of Argentina to the southeast and east, and the Municipio Mojinete to the northeast . It extends over a length of about 90 kilometers and an average width of about 50 kilometers from northeast to southwest.
The central place of the district is San Antonio de Esmoruco with 993 inhabitants ( 2012 census ) in the northeastern part of the municipality.

The municipality of San Antonio is located on the Bolivian Altiplano between the Andes mountain ranges of the Cordillera Occidental in the west and the Cordillera de Lípez in the east. The region's climate is arid and has a time-of-day climate.
