San Antonio de Esmoruco is a town in the Potosí department in the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
San Antonio is the central place of the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) San Antonio de Esmoruco in the province of Sur Lípez . The village is located at an altitude of 3714 m on the course of the Río Salado , which later merges into the Río San Juan del Oro .

San Antonio lies on the Bolivian Altiplano between the Andes mountain ranges of the Cordillera Occidental in the west and the Cordillera de Lípez in the east. The region's climate is arid and has a typical time of day climate.

From Atocha a country road leads in a south-easterly direction along the old railway line 23 kilometers to Escoriani and then leaves the railway line in a south-westerly direction. It reaches Tatasi after thirteen kilometers and San Vicente after another 29 kilometers . From there an unpaved but well-developed country road leads in a south-westerly direction, which on its way overcomes a pass height of about 4750 m and after 88 kilometers reaches the provincial capital of San Pablo de Lípez . From there, a 45-kilometer cul-de-sac leads south-west to San Antonio de Esmoruco .
