The municipality of San Ramón is a district in the Beni department in the lowlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
The municipality of San Ramón is one of three municipalities in the province of Mamoré and extends in a north-south direction over almost the entire length of the province. It borders on the municipality of San Joaquín to the west, the province of Cercado to the south , and the province of Iténez to the east .
The largest town and administrative seat of the province is the rural town of San Ramón with 3,483 inhabitants ( 2012 census ) in the western part of the municipality.

The municipality of San Ramón is located in the Moxos plain , which is one of the largest wetlands on earth with over 100,000 km². The predominant form of vegetation in the region is the tropical savannah .
The temperature fluctuations are low, both during the day and during the year. The annual average temperature is over 26 ° C, the monthly average temperatures are between 24 ° C and 29 ° C (see climate diagram San Joaquín). The annual precipitation of around 1500 mm is twice as high as that in Central Europe. Only the months of June to August are characterized by a dry season , in which the low rainfall evaporates quickly.
