Musa Dogonyaro

Musa Dogonyaro (born February 27, 1945 in Kagoro , Kaduna ; † August 2008 ) was a Nigerian sprinter and middle-distance runner .

At the Olympic Games in Mexico City in 1968, he reached the quarter-finals over 400 m , in which he set his personal best of 46.19 s, and was eliminated in the 4-by-400-meter relay in the preliminary run.

In 1970 he came at the British Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh with the Nigerian team in the 4-by-400-meter relay in seventh place. Over 400 m he reached the quarter-finals, and over 800 m he did without a start in the semi-finals.

At the 1972 Olympic Games in Munich, he did not get past the first round in the 4 x 400 meter relay .

In 1974 he was seventh again at the British Commonwealth Games in Christchurch with the Nigerian 4 x 400 meter relay and failed over 400 m in the prelim.

After graduating from Biola University and Azusa Pacific University , he received his doctorate in physical education from Claremont Graduate University in 1979 . 2014 was inducted into the Athletics Hall of Fame at Biola University.
