The Music Festival of Kimito Island ( Swedish : Kimitoöns Musikfestspel ; Finnish : Kemiönsaaren Musiikkijuhlat ; English : Kimito Iceland Music Festival ) annually in July at the archipelago just off the southwest coast of Finland organized. Major musicians from Finland as well as from many other European, Asian and American countries perform at the six-day music festival .

In 1999 the Finnish pianist Martti Rautio and the violinist Katinka Korkeala founded the festival, which they directed together until 2008. Korkeala is still the artistic director of the festival today, together with her twin sister, the violinist Sonja Korkeala , since 2008 . Jukka Mäkelä has been the managing director of the music festival since 2009.

The Kimito Island Music Festival awards a composition commission to a Finnish composer every year. So far, works by u. a. Aulis Sallinen , Kalevi Aho , Jouni Kaipainen and Einojuhani Rautavaara premiered.

The concerts of the music festival take place in different places, in churches, manors, museums and restaurants. For example on the estates of Sandö and Söderlångvik. Söderlångvik Manor once belonged to the well-known Finnish patron Amos Anderson. Culinary concerts are held in the Labbnäs guest house and the Westers garden restaurant. The medieval churches of Kimito and Sauvo and the smaller churches of Västanfjärd and Hitis also serve as concert venues.
