Mondsee Music Days
The Music Days Mondsee are a chamber music - festival , which since 1989 at the end of the summer (late August / early September) in Mondsee takes place the festival offers a week of high-profile chamber music in the unique atmosphere of the Salzkammergut .
The Mondsee Music Days were founded in 1989 by András Schiff and are now one of Austria's leading chamber music festivals. After András Schiff, Christian Altenburger and Julia Stemberger took over the artistic direction of the festival (1999–2005), followed by Heinrich Schiffas artistic director. The Auryn Quartet , which has been a regular guest at the Musiktage Mondsee for years, has been artistic director since 2010 .
The concerts will take place in Mondsee Castle and in the Mondsee Basilica with internationally renowned artists.
Mondsee Music Days 2019
The Music Days Mondsee 2019 took place from August 30 to September 7 instead and stood under the motto " Johann Sebastian Bach -. Musiktage Mondsee 2018

In addition to the Auryn Quartet , this year u. a. Elisabeth Leonskaja , Robert Holl , Esther Hoppe , Veronika Hagen , Christian Poltéra, Markus Schirmer , Stefan Stroissnig and Joseph Lorenz . Camille Pépin was invited as composer in residence in 2018 .
