Joseph Lorenz (* 1960 in Vienna ) is an Austrian theater, film and television actor and director.

Life

Joseph Lorenz attended the Mozarteum University of Music and Performing Arts in Salzburg. His first engagement took him to the Staatstheater Kassel, after which he worked at the Schillertheater Berlin , the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus , the Schauspielhaus Zürich and Theater Basel , the Theater am Neumarkt Zürich , the Hamburger Kammerspiele , the Staatstheater Stuttgart and in Frankfurt am Main . In 1995 he returned to Austria and played at the Burgtheater in Vienna until 2004 . From 2004 Lorenz worked as a freelance actor in Vienna and Berlin, a. a. at the Theater in der Josefstadt , the Klagenfurt City Theater , the Lower Austria State Theater and at the Reichenau Festival (Lower Austria).

Joseph Lorenz has been employed at the Theater in der Josefstadt since 2018 .
