Mustafa "Mos" Abdellaoue , Arabic مصطفى عبد اللاوي, DMG Muṣṭafā ʿAbd al-Lāwī , (born August 1, 1988 in Oslo ) is a Norwegian football player with Moroccan roots.

He is the brother of Mohammed Abdellaoue , who played in the German Bundesliga for Hannover 96 and VfB Stuttgart . His cousin Omar Elabdellaoui plays for Olympiacos .

Career

Mos Abdellaoue began his career with Hasle-Løren IL until he moved to Skeid Oslo in 2005 as a youth . At the age of sixteen he made his debut on May 16, 2005 in the 2-1 defeat by Sandefjord Fotball when he came on for Abdurahim Laajab in the 46th minute . This season he only played six league games and relegated his team to the fair play league . He then had a brief stint with the reserve team from Lillestrøm SK . After returning to Skeid, he managed direct promotion back to the Adeccoligaen in the 2008 season .

On January 1, 2009, he dared the leap into the top Norwegian league, the Tippeligaen , and moved to Vålerenga Oslo free of charge . His brother Mohammed, with whom he already played at Skeid, moved to Vålerenga a season earlier. On April 13, Abdellaoue scored his first goal in the first division in a 2-0 away win over Lillestrøm SK . However, he could never really assert himself in the regular formation, so he was awarded to Tromsø IL in January 2011 . There he showed his scoring qualities right from the start and at the end of the 2011 season he was the top scorer of the Tippeligaen. At the end of that season his loan ended and he returned to Vålerenga Oslo. On January 28, 2012, he announced his move to FC Copenhagen .

For the 2013 season he was awarded again to Vålerenga Oslo. After ten games and just one goal, Abdellaoue returned to Copenhagen. On the last day of the transfer, he moved to league rivals Odense Boldklub on loan . In June 2014 he moved back to Norway to Aalesunds FK .

For the 2018 season he signed a contract with league rival Strømsgodset IF .

International

Abdellaoue is briefly part of the squad of the Norwegian U-23 national team. On November 14, 2011, he played his first and only U-23 international match in a 1-1 draw with Turkey and scored an instant goal.

The striker also made his debut for Norway's senior team against Thailand on January 18, 2012 , when he replaced Valon Berisha with nine minutes from time . Again, it should remain his only mission.
